John joined the Grimethorpe Colliery Band in 2005.

As well as being a percussionist in the Grimethorpe Band John works as a freelance musician playing music from a variety of different genres.

When time permits John’s hobbies are Motor Sport, Cooking and having a good game of Pool. John enjoys spending time with his girlfriend Liz and son Josh.

The favourite Country John as visited to date is Switzerland but he hopes this may change after he gets back from his first Tour to Australia.
