Gareth is married with three boys aged 13, 11 and 6. One learning percussion, one the guitar and the eldest winding people up. Gareth is a big football fan supporting Blackburn Rovers, enjoys a game of Darts and for some obscure reason growing vegetables.

Gareth stared playing cornet at the age of 8 with the local school band and his first mainstream band was the Warburton’s Bakery Band in Preston, he later moved to Wingate’s Band and has played for the Besses of the Barn Band and FAIREY Engineering Band.

He returned to Wingate’s Band before joining the “mighty” Grimethorpe, which as a Lancastrian he is extremely proud of after war of the roses and 'that sort of thing'.

This is his first tour of Australia and is looking forward to performing with the Band in some of Australia’s premier Concert Halls.
